SAACS is a chemistry organization at LSU, but we are open to students in
all scientific fields. Our membership includes undergraduates in
chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, biological sciences,
physics, and other disciplines.
SAACS is focused on two things -- to prepare undergraduates for their future careers and to spread an interest for science in the community. The chapter meets twice each month to hear about current research by distinguished scientists, and members travel to regional and national conferences to present their own work. We also give chemistry demonstrations at local schools and city-wide events. Click on the links below to learn more about our chapter
Super Science Saturday will be on October 17th of this year. Volunteers will be needed for the chem demos.
